About

Kat is a product design leader and design career coach based in Seattle, WA.

Over the last 15+ years, Kat has transitioned role from Graphic Designer to Product Designer to Design management. Kat’s portfolio includes e-commerce, multi-modal (keyboard, pen, hand gesture), mobile apps, browser, dual-screen device, Fashion tech, AR and HR Operations.

Now serving in a capacity as a UX Design manager at Amazon and as a Women of Color in Tech, she finds representation matters. Kat is an Inclusive Design practitioner and advocate for Diversity & Inclusion in the workplace. She hopes to be that beacon of light to show the next generation of designers that people who look like her can take leadership position in Tech.

As a coach, a mentor, and a public speaker, Kat enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience to help designers grow in their career and improve their hard and soft skills.

Outside of work, she loves to travel, explore new restaurants, make delicious panna cotta, and cuddle with her pup. She lives in Greater Seattle area with her fiancé and her dog Sparky.
